It will be one for the records when Bebe Cool and Chameleone battle it out musically anytime this year. Bebe has announced that the much-awaited music battle is in the offing.
“No concert gets better than this but y’all are not ready for us when we battle in Lugogo. The ‘Doctor’ has opened the chapter officially and asked for a battle with the man from Kiwatule in Lugogo Cricket Oval,” Bebe Cool revealed on Monday while performing at Comedy Store.
Bebe’s announcement was received with merry, although a date is yet to be set. A few years back, the musicians failed to have a showdown after Chameleone asked for exorbitant amounts of money to be able to feature.
Bebe says the battle should happen trans-night because as music giants, they need a lot of time to prove themselves. He is confident he can beat Chameleone in the musical showdown.
Bebe has previously held a music battle with Bobi Wine, his longtime nemesis. Last year, he said he couldn’t wait to battle Chameleone.
“Of all the people I have battled, it is Mayanja that I’m waiting for. I feel we shall be cheating Uganda and Africa if we don’t hold this concert. We both have music, a huge fan base and it would be a fantastic show. With the previous two battles I did, I outsmarted my competitors because I did research about their music prior to the shows unlike them,” he said in an interview then.
