Sheila Gashumba Advises Crysto Panda to Stop Singing About Trendy Words

Crysto Panda had a good time musically during the 2020 lockdown, while many were crying about this and that. It was during that time that he earned a breakthrough with songs like, Kyoyina Omanya, Bintwala, and many others. His songs are mostly inspired by trendy words or situations in Kampala or social media talk, but TV host, Sheila Gashumba opines that it is not the best way to make it big musically.

Earlier this week, Sheila used a show she co-hosts on NBS to advise Crysto to stop jumping on every trendy word that comes.

“He needs to stop singing about trendy words and doing remixes of songs because he has so much potential. Some remixes like ‘Balumye’ are not necessary,” she said, which her co-presenters seemed to agree with.

Douglas Lwanga acknowledged that Crysto has great potential, and that he will go places if he heeds to the advice.

“CrystoPanda has great energy and that energy is what every artist needs. However, he needs to fine-tune the music and that can be done by getting a songwriter,” Lwanga said.

DJ Roja also agreed with his team, and to add to what they had already said, he advised that Crysto starts working with a team of djs to help him select music to release.

Roja also cautioned Crysto against releasing many songs back to back. “He needs to take a break, and allow his songs to get airplay before bringing more.”
