Over the past couple of days, a number of people have been celebrating Radio Mowzey’s legacy, saying a lot about him and playing his music on rotation. And Ykee is one of those who have expressed massive love for the fallen musician.
During Radio’s memorial service on Tuesday, Ykee made a suggestion that the day the Gudlyf artiste died should be made a public holiday.
“I feel like we don’t celebrate him enough. We need to do more. If we spare a full day just for him, it will be befitting of his status. Mowzey inspired a whole generation of musicians,” he said to justify his motion.
Ykee went on to say that he is one of many who were inspired by Radio. “I wanted to be an engineer. I was in school, but when I started listening to Radio’s music, I got hooked. I didn’t stop at that, I found myself trying to mimic him. I started to copy his lyrics and incorporate with some of my words to create music. I don’t think I would have been here if it wasn’t for Mowzey.”
Many have made suggestions on how Radio should be celebrated.
