Famous dancehall singer Ziza Bafana was recently arrested in Kabale over the weekend for “allegedly failing to honor a booking many years ago,”.
The “Akalulu” singer was raided by police during one of his shows this past weekend. He apparently requested for 30 minutes from the police to let him finish the show for the excited crows before they could take him to jail.
Bafana was coming up with a plan to take advantage of the situation and escape from the police during the time they allowed him finish his show but sadly the police caught up with him.
“The policemen agreed to give me extra 30 minutes. I asked the DJ to play “Embuzzi” which excited the crowd and the police. I saw this as an opportunity to run away, but the guys who wanted me arrested were well prepared. They had planted cops in many corners,” the “Nazaala” singer related.
He was later released after pleading for mercy from the authorities.
