Gospel singer Exodus has opened up on his struggles with depression saying that he almost took his own life in 2018 on December 23rd.
“I drunk a lot of alcohol and told myself that I would drive recklessly until I caused a deadly accident. That happened but I didn’t die. God gave me another chance to live,” he said
“It is during that time that I decided to evaluate myself and the decisions I was making. The madness stopped immediately. I could have died or ended in prison or something, but I am here and I have returned to the church,” he added
Exodus says his depression stemmed from being sidelined by people he considered his foster fathers and church leaders.
“I started to drink alcohol to forget my problems. I stopped caring what the world thinks, but now I have returned to church. Church is home.”
