Musician BigEye has on Tuesday been arrested by police at National Theatre where he was protesting the postponement of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) elections.
The elections were due to happen on 29th July (tomorrow) but were called off by the Minister for Gender and Social issues Betty Among on grounds that some musicians upcountry would be left out, among other things.
BigEye wasn’t happy with the decision saying that the Minister has no right to stop the elections.
While he was venting at the National Theatre, Police arrested him on grounds that he was causing chaos.
