You know that standard that a lot of people in this world put themselves to? Especially Ugandans? That pressure to be cuffed and have a significant other? Yeah so it’s time to celebrate getting out of that phase and get excited for Pastor Bugembe because he has finally found his woman of God! So yes loves, that’s your cue to get your outfits ready and get your bellies spacious if you can somehow sneak into Pastor Bugembe’s wedding.
With how things are these days; twitter always ready to talk smack about someone’s happy moments and what not, you can’t blame celebrities for being fiercely private about certain aspects of their lives. And for the longest time ever, the “Katonda” singer has been very discreet about his love life, always wittily dodging the question when fans and interviewers would ask about the lady that got his heart racing. Who can blame really? I would too, not with how these Ugandans are dying to say “it’ll end in tears”.
Not many months ago though, an image circulated the internet showing Pastor Bugembe with a lady showing off a ring. Of course everyone that saw it assumed she was showing off the engagement ring he gave her and was quick to congratulate him on the achievement. However, the pastor quickly denied and shut down the assumptions and rumors among the public that he was ready to settle down with the unidentified lady in the picture.
The comment he made though is what always makes me laugh. He claimed the lady was actually married to a White man and she hosted a dinner he attended. During picture-taking time, he asked her to show the world that she is married and apparently he was shocked to find out the image went viral with people’s assumptions of them being a couple. I for one am not sure if what he said is sincere but if it isn’t, I’d advise Pastor Bugembe take lying classes because that excuse is really just the ghetto and outright hilarious. But for all I know, he could actually be telling the truth, you never know with these Ugandans.
A few hours ago though, he posted a picture on twitter of him holding a bouquet of flowers with the caption “I am in love!…” and followed it up with a tweet that said “…she is #UniquelyMine” and boy did that get people talking!
Of course if someone says that, there’s no fault in the public concluding that he’s cuffed and taken. Whatever religious Christian girls that still had hope, maybe it’s too late. All factors remaining constant though, we do wish him the best.
