Musician BigEye has recently been in the news for allegedly swindling Shs 5M from the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA). This was confirmed by the Association chairperson Cindy Sanyu.
In an interview, BigEye has denied the allegations against him saying that he would do such a thing. “I have not personally heard from the UMA management about the claims. Those are claims being propagated on social media, but what I can tell you is that I can never do such a thing,,” he says
BigEye is the treasurer of the association.
The association is currently preparing elections to get new leaders at the helm. The current leadership is made of Cindy Sanyu, Phina Mugerwa, Justin Bas, Rena Nalumansi and BigEye.
