On Tuesday, there was uncertainty on whether the highly anticipated Nyege Nyege was going to happen following a discussion in Parliament that deemed the event immoral and bad for the society
The Speaker of Parliament said that the House she leads will not permit the event to take place under the pretext of promoting tourism.
“We are discussing the morality of this nation; we are discussing our kids. You want to advance tourism at the expense of our kids, right? We won’t permit this activity to take place,”
Real Deejays has, however, learnt that the Nyege Nyege event will take place starting 15th of this month as planned. The new development comes after a meeting with all stakeholders including security that has promised to ensure there’s order.
