Sheebah speaks out on being sexually harassed before show

Sheebah took to her social media pages on Monday, 9 May to attack an unnamed man that sexually harassed her right before a performance.

The Nkwata Bulungi singer shared a video of herself revealing how an unrevealed “old man that she looked up to like a role model” inappropriately touched her before a show over the weekend.

“TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN!!

I dont care what you think about when you see me on stage or in any of my videos dressed the way i dress up , You better RESPECT MY BODY. Its MINE, I get to do whatever i want to do with It. You DON’T. You can watch but you CERTAINLY CAN’T TOUCH.” Sheebah’s caption said on Twitter.

Sheebah goes on to narrate how the man’s unprofessional and inappropriate actions towards her almost made her boycott the show and give back the money she was being paid to perform, but goes ahead to say she had to respect her job and refrained from doing do.

“This old pervert was trying to be funny with me…He was trying to be inappropriate in front of my team members…no shame, no remorse, nothing! I was so angry, that I almost didn’t perform but then I respect my job.”

The Mukama Yamba singer goes ahead to emphasize that men should treat women how they would want their daughters to be treated, as she pointed out how selfish men are when it comes to women who are not their daughters.

“Why do you look at women as objects? Don’t you have daughters? Treat the women you meet on the way like you would want your daughters to be treated, please. I hate perverted people, men mostly. You have daughters and you act like you love your daughters but when you deal with other people’s daughters, you act like you don’t give a f**k,” Sheebah angrily stated.

Several Sheebaholics asked the Queen Karma to reveal who the sexual abuser was so he could be reprimanded for his actions.

Others went on to agree on the statement that sexual harassment has been a never ending ordeal faced by a lot of women in the entertainment industry.

Sheebah implied from her post that men shouldn’t think they have a right over women’s bodies simply because of how they may be dressed.

“Women are not objects, women own their bodies so if you want to sleep with a woman please be nice and ask them – and if you can’t, f**k off! Have some respect for women, if you hire me to sing, respect me. I didn’t come for you to touch me.”
