Vivian Tendo cries out for help!

The constant fights between managers and artistes will always surprise me because of the never ending aspect of them. At least every two weeks left, right and center a manager and his former managee are throwing punches. It has somewhat become a trend. Why don’t they just eat ice cream and make up? No, because it’s actually a toxic concept especially when it gets to the point of death threats.

Songstress Vivian Tendo announced her split from her former manager Yese Omani Rafiki in December last year. I’m guessing they both managed to keep the bitter part of the split low key because it was not until only recently that she revealed he is threatening to end her life because of their separation.

Tendo claims she went separate ways from the singer/ songwriter so as to pursue a solo career which is absolutely okay, but to Yese Omani Rafiki, he is not taking that well.

Vivian Tendo was previously managed by Route Entertainment which is directed by Omani Rafiki but apparently no contract was signed by either party which made it all the more convenient for Tendo to leave. This decision did not sit well with Rafiki and since then he has been sending Tendo death threats through text messages and audios. This in itself is a criminal offence that can land the perpetrator in jail so I don’t think Rafiki should be taking it lightly that he has been exposed by Tendo.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

From the looks of things, this has been going on for quite some time now. Tendo mentioned on an Instagram post that she’s been trying to handle the matter like a mature person, but can’t take it any more. Understandably, out of fear, she revealed on an Instagram video the threats and insults Rafiki has been hurling at her, claiming if anything happens to her, the public should know it’s all Omani Rafiki’s fault.

Interestingly though, in the video, to some extent Rafiki seems to be forcing Tendo to come up with ways to meet him so they can work out their issues before things get worse and irreversible. (The feminist in me is laughing at the audacity of this man).

Anyway, knowing the judicial and political system off this country, not much might be done about this situation, but fingers crossed that Tendo will be safe from any harm aimed at her.
