Gudlyf artiste Weasel Manizo has promised to stage a celebratory event dubbed, Radio Festival come 2023. Weasel shared his plans through a social media post on Tuesday.
“It was this very day 2018 when the Radio changed frequency. The airwaves went mute. The streets went silent with shock & great fear. The king was gone. This very day I fainted like twice and I was put on an emergency drip to get me back up so that I can hold it together for our family & fans. Special thanks to some people who covered us during that time. We celebrate your legacy. Always Moses. Hopefully next year we shall be holding a Radio Festival,” he wrote on his social media.
Weasel also thanked his fellow artistes, the fans who stood with him during the trying time. For the past couple of days, different people, including radio stations and TVs have been paying tribute to Radio.
Today, a special event will be held in Kagga where Radio was laid to rest.
