Elections for new leaders in the Uganda Musicians Association did not go as planned as the exercise was halted midway on Monday, 6th June.
The exercise was cancelled after some participants expressed dissatisfaction with the virtual voting system.
“I have decided to cancel this election because members of the association expressed their dissatisfaction with the electoral process,” Chairperson Electoral Commission Uganda Musicians Association, Mr. Jeff Geoffrey Ekongot announced midway through the voting
Cindy was leading in the election at the time it was cancelled, but all the votes that have been cast were declared null and void.
The EC is yet yo announce a way forward.
